How much does lawn mowing cost?

Lawn mowing prices depend on your lot size, terrain, obstacles, and mowing frequency. Every property is different, so we assess yours and give you an honest, accurate price. Every visit includes mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing — no hidden fees. Call (203) 519-0667 for a free estimate.

Do I have to sign a contract?

No. We do not require contracts. You can cancel anytime with no penalties. We keep customers by doing good work, not by locking people into agreements.

What areas do you serve?

We serve Wolcott, Waterbury, Bristol, Prospect, and Southington, Connecticut. If you're in a neighboring town, reach out — we may be able to accommodate you depending on our current route schedule.

What services do you offer?

We offer weekly lawn mowing, spring and fall cleanups, mulching and bed maintenance, weed and brush cleanup, hedge and shrub trimming, snow plowing, and one-off jobs like move-in/move-out yard prep. If it involves your yard, we probably do it.

How do I pay?

We accept credit card, Apple Pay, Venmo, cash, and check. We send invoices after services are completed, and you can pay however is most convenient for you.

What happens if it rains on my mowing day?

We do not mow wet grass — it damages the lawn and produces a poor cut. If rain delays your service, we bump it to the next dry day and let you know. Your lawn will still get mowed that week.

Do you bring your own equipment?

Yes. We show up with everything needed — commercial mowers, string trimmers, edgers, blowers, hand tools, and any materials for the job. You don't need to provide anything.

Are you insured?

Yes. Legacy Landscaping LLC is fully insured. We carry general liability insurance to protect both our crew and your property.

How do I get a quote?

The easiest way is to call us at (203) 519-0667 or submit a request through the quote form on our website. Give us your address and what services you're interested in, and we'll get back to you with pricing — usually within a day.

Do you do one-time jobs or only recurring service?

We do both. Many of our customers are on weekly mowing schedules, but we also take one-time jobs like spring cleanups, mulching, overgrown yard clearing, and move-in/move-out prep. Just tell us what you need.

When do you start mowing in the spring?

We typically start the mowing season in mid-April when the grass reaches about 3 inches and the ground is dry enough to mow without leaving ruts. The exact start date depends on weather each year. Read our full guide on when to start mowing in Connecticut.

How much does a spring or fall cleanup cost?

Spring and fall cleanup costs depend on property size, how much debris accumulated, and whether beds need edging and mulch prep. Every yard is different after a Connecticut winter, so we give property-specific quotes. Call (203) 519-0667 for a free estimate. Mulching is usually quoted separately.

Do I need to be home when you come?

No. Most of our customers are not home during service. As long as we can access the property, we'll take care of everything while you're away. We send you a message when the work is done.

What if I have a dog?

We ask that dogs be kept inside or in a fenced area during service for their safety and ours. We also ask that the yard be reasonably clear of pet waste before we arrive — mowing over it creates a mess and spreads it across the lawn.

How far in advance do I need to book?

For recurring weekly mowing, we can usually get you on the schedule within a week. For one-time jobs like cleanups and mulching, spring is our busiest season so booking 1-2 weeks ahead is recommended. Call (203) 519-0667 and we'll find a time that works.
